Lab Director
Dr. Ashley A. Balsom (she/her)
Meet Dr. Ashley A. Balsom, an Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Dr. Balsom is deeply invested in researching how infertility impacts women’s lives, from exploring effective, evidence-based interventions to understanding coping strategies and the effects on sexual function. She’s passionate about shining a light on how reproductive experiences affect individuals, especially those facing marginalization, and is committed to identifying factors that promote resilience and well-being. Her work delves into various reproductive transitions, including infertility, peripartum challenges, and menopause.

When she's not immersed in research, Dr. Balsom is eager to collaborate on new projects or mentor students who are enthusiastic about clinical psychology or reproductive health.

Outside of work hours, you might find Dr. Balsom enjoying quality time with her pets or crafting.
